Der Ehrenpreis ist mit EUR 1.500,- dotiert. Der Preisträger wird vom Vorstand der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kardiologie – Herz- und Kreislaufforschung e.V. ernannt. Die Preisverleihung erfolgt auf der Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft in Mannheim im Anschluss an die Lecture.
